As commercial vehicle specialists, a large portion of our customer base are businesses ranging from sole traders and SME’s, through to national corporates, and as a company owner or director there are significant tax advantages to running a commercial vehicle through your business.
These advantages include eligibility for Annual Investment Allowance (AIA), meaning 100% of the cost can be offset against pre-tax profits, along with attractive Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) rates, and of course 100% of the VAT able to be reclaimed if you are VAT registered.
There are now a wide range of commercial vehicles available that are far from the traditional ‘van’, and which make a great alternative to running a company car and come with far more attractive tax advantages.
Perhaps the ultimate example of this new wave of ‘luxury’ commercials is the new-model Land Rover Defender, which since 2021 has been available to order as a “Hard Top” commercial variant; a very popular option for many company owners & directors as they offer all the luxury and prestige of the new-model Defender, wrapped up in a ‘tax-friendly’ package.
In stock now we have a stunning 2023 ’73’ registered example, a range-topping X-Dynamic HSE model with a huge level of factory specification, along with a rear seat conversion. This adds a bench seat to the rear, which in addition to the front jump seat, takes it to a total of 6 seats whilst still retaining its commercial status. At half the price, but certainly not half the luxury, we also have available another Land Rover commercial product in the form of a 2019 Discovery SDV6. In HSE trim and therefore offering all the style and specification of its car equivalent, including 22-inch alloy wheels, head up display, heated 16-way electrically adjustable seats and much more. Having covered just 49,000 miles from new with full Land Rover and independent specialist service history, this offers fantastic value at just £32,980 + VAT.
We are well-known as VW Transporter specialists, and alongside the traditional three seat panel van, these are available in five or six seat ‘Kombi’ variants. Again a very popular option for many business owners as these offer incredible space and flexibility, offering the perfect blend of family car and van. We always have a wide choice of Transporter panel vans and Kombi’s available, all of which are highly customisable with the choice of our Exterior & Interior styling packages, adding 20-inch alloy wheels, front splitter, side bars, rear spoiler, leather seats, rear carpeting & LED lighting, to really transform them into the perfect vehicle to mix business and pleasure. We have also taken delivery of some of the very last brand-new T6.1 Kombi’s that we are able to offer on a 6 to 12 month rental basis.
The 4x4 pick-up has long been a favourite almost business buyers, both for their rugged usability, seating for five and of course the tax benefits of commercial vehicles. Again, such vehicles have come a long way in the last few years, gone are the basic agricultural vehicles and in are the high specification models that make great daily drivers.
